The National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF) recently held a celebration event for Brazilian student Lyssa Kae Oppata's admission to the Yonsei University Korean Language Institute in 2024. This significant event was attended by key figures, including Mr. Lee Jong-wook, Executive Vice President of NACF, Mr. Lee Wook, Secretary-General of the International Cooperative Alliance's Agriculture Organization (ICAO), and Mr. Park Jae Min, General Manager at NACF, all showing their support for Lyssa’s new academic venture.

Recommended by the OCB (Brazil) and arriving in Korea, Lyssa Kae Oppata is set to receive ongoing support from NACF, learning Korean and advanced agricultural techniques of Korea. During the event, Mr. Lee Jong-wook emphasized the importance of cooperation between cooperatives and expressed his hope for Lyssa to play a pivotal role in Brazil after learning from Korea's advanced agricultural technology.

" We hope that the knowledge and experiences Lyssa gains from her studies in Korea will contribute to agricultural development in Brazil upon her return. The advanced agricultural technologies and cooperative management know-how of Korea can bring positive changes to Brazil," said Mr. Lee Jong-wook.

 

Additionally, Mr. Lee Jong-wook wished for Lyssa to focus on her studies while taking good care of her health, expecting her to grow into a professional who can play a central role in agricultural cooperation between Brazil and Korea in the future.

Through this celebration, NACF commemorated Lyssa Kae Oppata's admission into the Korean Language Institute at Yonsei University, reaffirming their commitment to supporting students from developing countries, sharing the values of cooperation, and promoting sustainable development.
