The NACF hosted a workshop for high-ranking government workers from developing countries on 19 August in Korea.
Carried out as part of the Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) project, this two-week workshop was attended by 21 representatives from 10 countries ranging from Cambodia, East Timor, Cameroon, the Gambia to Vietnam and explored the theme of Developing Capacity for Managing Financial Cooperatives.
The workshop provided participants with the opportunity to take seminars and field visits to learn how the Korean agricultural cooperative system has helped rebuild a country torn apart by war 50 years ago.
The participants made presentations on the state of financial cooperatives in their countries, after which they consulted country-specific experts to work out action plans.
Since last year, the NACF has carried out KOICA Global Workshops and other ODA programmes and continued to work with a number of developing countries to launch more joint projects.
