NACF Training Session for Government Officials and Farmers from Ninh Thuan Province, Vietnam

From the 30th of April to the 4th of May, Government workers and Farmers from Ninh Thuan Province, Vietnam were invited to the NACF to learn about the agricultural industry and cooperatives of Korea. A total of seven members attended the training which lasted for four days consisted of various activities that took place all over Korea.

With a presentation of the NACF, Korea held at the NACF Head Office in Seoul, the program was followed by a visit to Chonnam National University(CNU) on the following day, located in the Southern part of Korea. They had an opportunity to listen to a lecture on pepper farming by Professor Kim Kil-Yong of CNU and also visit agricultural sites around the Gwangju Metropolitan City.

The rest of the training session were consisted of city tours and visits to NACF subsidiaries including the JiPyeong Agri-Cooperative that produces different types of Korean sauces and also the NongHyup Hanaro Club, one of the largest supermarkets in Seoul.

Despite the short period, the Vietnamese participants were able to learn in-depth abouth the Korean agriculture and discover new ideas and insight that could be applied to Ninh Thuan Province
